Brigadoon Brewery & Brew School is a unique brewpub and teaching facility located on the grounds of the Texas Renaissance Festival in Plantersville, Texas. To our knowledge we are the only functioning brewpub located on the grounds of a renaissance festival brewing using both period specific equipment and modern equipment to brew hand crafted ale and then serving it back to the public.
So, what does this mean for you? Have you ever wanted to work at a renaissance festival, or have you ever wanted to learn how to brew beer? Every wanted to be a “Beer Wench”? Ever wanted to have and experience that will last you a life time?
If you are looking for an out of the ordinary seasonal job experience, Brigadoon Brewery & Brew School at The Texas Renaissance Festival is looking to fill both paid and volunteer positions. We are currently accepting applications for the following positions for the 2020 season:
Beer Wench/Barman
Apprentice
No experience is required. We will teach you everything you need to know. Must be at least 21 years of age, NO EXCEPTIONS. Must have or be able to obtain your TABC Serving card.
You must be able to work all nine weeks (Oct 3 - Nov. 29th 2020), the Friday after Thanksgiving and attend a dress rehearsal/training on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Please read the Info packet below for each position before applying for the position.
We promise long days, hard work and plenty of fun. Oh, and we have beer!

Minimum Qualification |

· Be a non-smoker (participants are not permitted to smoke at the fair and Brigadoon is a smoke free work place) |
· Be at least 21 years of age |
· Beer Wench/Barman-be able to lift 30lbs. Brewers/Apprentice be able lift 60 lbs. |
· Be able to stand for long hours |
· Be able to kneel, squat and climb ladders. |
· Be a citizen of the United States or hold a valid work visa. |
· Have a valid SSN. |
· Have or be able get TABC Service Certificate. |
· Pass a background investigation. |
· Agree to follow all company and Texas Renaissance Festival rules. |
· Not currently on probation. |
· Not convicted or charged with a sex crime. |
· Work all 8 weekends of fair to include Thanksgiving Friday and attend dress rehearsal. |
