Pilsner (Small Batch)

Saint Arnold Brewing Co

Houston, TX

I had this beer a Saint Arnold's Beer Garden so it was on tap.

The brewers at Saint Arnold are definetly stepping up the bar with their small batch series and it shows with thi beer they simply call "Pilsner"!

This is a traditional, German-style Pilsner, using 100% German ingredients.  A bountiful aroma of fresh floral and citrus notes, with a firm, yet refreshing hop bitterness.

I must say that it was very pleasuralbe experience!

If you like traditional Pilsners then I highly recommend you makeing a trip to their beer garden and trying this one.

Dank You Kindly

Ogle Brewery

Fredsicsburg, TX

In full discloser I had this beer on tap at Ogle Brewery which is at Arch Ray Resort. Arch Ray has a brewery, distilery, winery and an event center. It is a unquie concept which I believe will only grow. Think something for everyone location or experiences.

The beer poured with great head. It is thick and looks juice but its not a juice. It is in fact a Dank IPA.

The taste is unique but follows the style. You can tast the earhyness and the raw hops in it. This beer reminds me of Surly Brewing Company, Minneapolis Minisota.

So what is a Dank beer?

"Dank" in beer refers to an intensely aromatic, pungent, and resinous scent and flavor, often compared to high-quality cannabis, sticky pine, or earthy herbs. Primarily used to describe modern hop-forward IPAs, this term signifies a desirable, bold aroma—not a stale or musty defect. It indicates a rich, "green" smell from specific hop varieties.

If you love hops than this is your beer!

Tom's Pils

Back Pew Brewing

Porter, Texas Pours nice but the head disipates quickly but remains carbonated. Real flooral and bright with a taste of Hallertau Mittelfruh hops.

It has a slite fruity taste but over all its not bad. A very drinkable beer.

TXPA

Real Ale Brewing Co.

Blanco, TX

Pours with great head and maintains throughout the session. As you pour you can smell the hops. This is stlyed after Australian Extra Pale Ales and it holds to the style.

They use a touch of rice and some fun enzymes to create a dry and refreshing ale packed with loads of tropical hop aromas, ranging from papaya to pineapple and back to passion fruit with a splash of peach. Super clean and extra crisp.

This is a nice hopped ale for an afternoon session.

Sunset Siesta

Galveston Island Brewing CO

Galveston, TX

The beer pours nice with good carbonation.

It is light in body with an almost fruity taste. I presume they are going for an island taste or flavor. For me it seemed a wee bit different. I think its the fruit taste that threw me.

It is very drinkable but not one I woule seek out.
