Feisty Bolnde, |
Fort Worth, TX | This is a unique version of a blonde ale. Using 4 grains and 2 varities of hops they produce a well balance beer. Perhaps the best character is the small taste of honey which is left as you finish each swallow. Made with Mexican Honey, raw brown sugar and touch off with orange blossom honey. This is one to try.

1909, |
Shiner, TX | This is a small-batch lager brewed with heritage ingredients celebrating the history, endurance, and the Texas heritage of the Spoetzl Brewery which will celebrate its 112 anniversaty this year. Some would say that this beer is nothing special and that the flavors do not jump out at you, to which I would say your right. What Shiner has done it to produce a Pre-prohibition lager with gentel notes of saaz hops and heritage pilsner malt. This is a smooth return to beers origins. Coming in at 4.5% and 20 IBU's this is one you can drink several of. It is it the best beer they make. No that would be their Kosmo Reserve but this one comes in a close second. |

Interstate Lager, |
Carrolton, TX | Light golden with a modest head, a little hazy--maybe it's just chill haze. Nice nose: clean malt, not grainy at all, with a bit of floral hop notes. Taste is really nice, square on a hoppy European pilsner: floral, aromatic hop taste, well-attenuated malt giving a nice dry mouthfeel, decent bitterness. Another great sesssion beer. |

Derby Days, |
Grand Haven, MI | I had such high hopes when I pick this beer up. It had all the qualities I look for in a special beer. It was and Imperial, had Rye and was barrel aged. My first taste told me I had made a mistake. I tatsted the barrel, the carmel and ........ it tasted really old. I then checked the date on the can. 7/21/20. I was not happy.
This beer was most likly great about a year ago. The lesson to learn is always check the date before you purchase. |
