Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Vanilla, Cocoa Nibs, and Coffee , Saint Arnold Brewing |
Houston, TX | Attention Louie Belina, this beer is for you! I do not know how Louie did it but it seems that Saint Arnold has made a beer with him in mind. Let me say first that if you get this beer and you should I would highly suggest letting it warm up before you drink it. (suggested 55 F to 72 F.) This beer is one to drink slowly over a period of time. The aroma itself should be enjoyed before even tasting. Once you do taste it you will enjoy, barrel, vanilla, coco, perhaps a hint of carmel and a finsh of coffee.
This indulgent version of our Russian Imperial Stout is enhanced with additions of vanilla, cocoa nibs, and coffee. The base beer was aged in an array of Four Roses bourbon barrels for 14 months, then blended into one beer. Vanilla, cocoa nibs, and coffee were added after blending to create an opulent beer worthy of replacing or supplementing your dessert course. The coffee used in this brew was locally roasted Temporada from Catalina Coffee, while the Arriba cocoa nibs came from Xocolla Craft Chocolate. That's Ecuadorian chocolate by way of Sugar Land. |

The Jabberwocky, |
Magnolia, TX | Lone Pont has hit it out of the park with this one. deep golden with a head made of hop resin; light malt breadiness hidden beneath an onslaught of pungent hoppy tropical-fruitiness Great head and a fantastic combination of kettle hops with the same hops used to dry hop. If you like IPA's then you need to try this one. |

Southern Brunch, |
Conroe, TX | This beer is for the beer drinker who does not like beer taste. This is a memosa in a can.
While I am not a big fan of beers that do not taste like beers this one is done right and is an experience. This is a Sunday morning drink! This beer was made for people who don’t like beer, but will love this one. Southern Brunch is part of an unbalanced breakfast. |

Blueberry Fulbrook Cream Ale, |
Richmond, TX | I should start by saying I am not a cream ale fan and not a big blueberry fan. Having said that this is light, crisp and clean beer that has a nice blueberry muffin aroma while not overpowering with the blueberry finish. While not a fan I can say that is doe deliver on the blueberry in both aroma and taste. If your a blueberry fan than this is for you. |

Friday IPA, Martin House Brewing | Fort Worth, TX | I must have the worst luck with Martin House Beers. I had high hopes for this IPA but was truley let down. This is the 3rd beer I have had from Martin House that has had particles in it. The beer was off flavored and had unidentified "stuff" in it. I did not finish it! :( I am beginning to think that I am to far from the brewery. I will have to visit the brewery to see. |
