Daylight Coffee Stout
|
Huntsville, TX | The beer pours with a nice head and the carbonation stays around. Then you can smell the coffee. As youi taste you are met with a nutty malty flavor followed by a nice cold coffee flavor which lingers after you swallow. This is just what they say it is, it is a Coffee Stout!!! There are notes of carmel and roasted barely. This is brewed with two-row, roasted and chocolate barley anlong wiht a nice cold-brewed coffee. Great on a cold afternoon or perhaps dare I say it, with Sunday Brunch! This is one for Louie Belina! |

Ketzer Lager |
Wassaic, NY | The beer pours with good carbonation and lace that stays throughout the session. Ketzer Lager is a Franconian inspired Helles. A Franconian-inspired Helles is a traditional bottom-fermented German lager (4.8% - 5.5% ABV) characterized by a golden color, soft mouthfeel, and a balanced, yet more assertive malt profile than its Munich counterpart. It features rich, doughy, or bready notes from Munich malts, complemented by noble hop aromas (grass, pepper) and often a slightly higher bitterness or drier finish, sometimes appearing as an unfiltered. This is a great example of the style being brewed with German Pilsner , Vienna and Light Munich malts. THey us Perle, Hallertau Mittelfrüh, and Saphir hops. A gentle biscuit malt character and a noble floral, spicy hop aroma prevails with notes of wildflower honey, citrus zest, alpine herbs and a hint of peppercorn. I would love to try this on tap! If you like Helles styles than this is your beer.

Gulf Kolsch |
Dripping Springs, TX | The beer pours with nice carbonation which stays through out the session. I fouind my can to have a bit more haze and it had a wee bit of off flavore which leads me to belive that my can may be a tad old. Having said that the beer was still very enjoyable. As Kolschs go this is fine example but I still prefer Altstadt's Kolsch!
