Talahashee, FL | I had this on tap at a hotel 5.6 miles from the brewey. It poured with great head and good lace. The beer is clean and crisp. This was most welcome surprise after a long hard day of driving. The brewery is a small 20 barrel craft brwery localed in Talahashee, fourned by Byron & Angela Burroughs in 2012. It is Tallahassee’s first craft production brewery. I am happy to see craft breweries getting back to basic brews. Any body can brew crazy, hazy, sour, heavely fruited beers but it takes a good brewrey to brew a light standared lager. You can't hide imperfections in a light bodied beer. I always drink local if I can and especially if I am traveling. I will devfinetly be adding Proof to my next stop in Talahashee as a must see brewery! If your in the area I highy recommend giving them a try. |

Juniper Pilsner |
Tampa, FL | This has good head and lace. It smells of Juniper which is good since its in the name. It has a great flavor and mouth feels both which are crisp and clean. The aroma is juniper berries, orange peel, cardamom, and caramel. The Juniper disapears from the after taste but over all this is a great beer. I found it at the beer cart in front of the Norway Pavailian at EPCOT in Flordia. While the beer is good I found it strange that it presents itself as Norwegian beer but it is produced locally at an American craft brewery. Perhaps it should be presented as a Norwegian style beer. If your there give it a try. |

60 Minute IPA |
Milton, DE | I had this at the American Pavailian at EPCOT. I have had this before but since it was the American offering and I was looking for somthing with a hop back bone to it I had to get it. It did not diapoint . It pours with greart head and keeps its lace. Brewed with Northwest hops which are continually added during the 60 min boil it delivers a pungently, citrusy hop flavor with out being a crushingly beitter tatste. Great as always. |

Alcatraz IPA 2X |
Lakeland ,FL | This a a Double IPA made with cascade, willamete and columbes hops so needless to say this was brewed for me. I you liked our Green Ogre than this is right up your alley. It pours with great head and retain its lace. It is malt forward with a great cascade hop finish. It is a great marriage of the two. I had this beer on tape at Evergreens at Shades of Green. Shades of Gree is a Military resort which is on the grounds of Disney World. If your are active duty, retired or a veteran I highly recommend the resort and bar.

Benny Brew |
Orlando, FL | To prefis this I should say that Benny Brew is named after a trash can that once stood outside the Rose & Crown in EPCOT. It was popularized by the Disney Day Drinkers Club who would use the cans in EPCOT for table tops since Disney does not like to provide enough tables for folks to drink and eat from. I say "Once stood" because the can became to popular so it was wisked away with occational spotting still to this day. (The can had specific marking that make it stand out. If you knew you knew.) The beer is listed as being brewed in Orlando but I believe it is contract brewed by a third party. Either way they have a great story and a good PR story so they have survived. The beer itself is a middle of the road beer which reminds me a lot of Southern Stars Blonde Bombshell but hoppier. It pour nice and retains its head. Over all it is a nice simple ale with a hoppy finish. Think blonde hoppy ale. I guess the hype is all about the Trash Can. Long live the memory of Benny! I had the beer on tap at Everygreens which is a sports bar located at Shades Of Green.
