Cask-Conditioned Elisa IPA |
Houston, TX | At last, someone has made a traditioanal cask IPA. My friends at Saint Arnold's have taken their Elisa IPA and done a traditional cask version. It pours with an amazing head and the lace stays throughout the experience. It has a great floral aroma which comes from the dry-hopped fermentation. Made wiht reverse osmosis water makes the bitter very soft with no harsh notes to it. The maltiness is derived from British Maris Otter malt. Its rich flavor stands up to the hops that would otherwise dominate this beer. The Elissa is an authentic version of an India Pale Ale style. Made with all British malt. The base malt is Maris Otter, augmented with some medium crystal malt. They then use a single hop, Cascades in the boil and a large dry-hopping is done in the fermenter. Is there a down side? Yes this is a special release and is only available in the beer garden while supplies last. |

Bearded Seal |
Round Rock, TX | This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small white head and lots of lacing. If you like dark and roasty than this is your beer! |

Hamilton Pale |
Dripping Springs, TX ? | Pours with nice head and lace. Crisp clean smell and clean taste that carrys through. Some what tropcial citrus hop flavor. At 4.9% this makes for a good session beer and pairs nicely with BQ. My only question is where is it being brewed and by whom. Family Business clossed their Dripping Springs location in May of 2024. |

Electric Jellyfish |
Round Rock, TX | Decent head and foam. Lace disappears quickly. This is a hazy Subtly sweet with moderate bitterness, accompanied by aromas of mango, papaya, passion fruit, tropical notes, orange, grapefruit, and stone fruit. Brewed with Citra, Simcoe, Chinook, Ekuanot, Azacca, and Galaxy. Electric Jellyfish is filled with a bright tropical citrus character along with notes of orange, mango, lychee, and a floral backbone. The beer focuses on the juicy hop flavor and aroma while keeping the bitterness balanced and refreshing. This is a Hazy and while hazys are not my cup of tea this is one of the better ones I have had. If your a hazy fan than this is one you need to try. |

Art Car Double Dry Hopped |
The beer pours great with great head and color. This is Art Car on seriods. What they have done is to take their great Art Car and then Double Dry hop it with Amarillo, Simcoe and Mosaic hops which brings out the tropical mango ad citrus armoatics. It should note that Art Car is a staple in my beer fridge so I was looking forward to this version. What I found to my surprise was that sometimes more is not better. In dry hopping the beer they lost a lot of the malt flavor so you end up with more of the hop flavor showing through which in the case I found to be not as good as it sounded. Saddly I did not enjoy this experience. Of course it could just be that I had the Cask Elisa in the same session and just enjoyed it more. What I do for Science!! |

Honey Blonde Ale |
Austin, TX | This beer pours good and has a insteresting aroma which leads you to think that this Belgian inspired. The taste continues to be interesting with a banana finish. If I did not know better I would think that this has a belgian yeast in it. For me I fould the banana flavor unwanted and I did not enjoy the experience . |
