Sea Foam, Galveston Bay Brewing | Dickenson, TX | Clean smell, nice taste. Great name for a brewery named after a bay. Could be the best cream ale I have had. I should note that tipically I am not a fan of the Cream Ale style but this is one to try! This style was populat before Prohibition. This is a style that is not done much these days This style is often fermented like an ale, then stored at colder temperatures like a lager. Some brewers use both ale and lager yeasts to brew their cream ale. ... Unlike Kölsch beer, cream ales contain rice and/or corn adjuncts to achieve that light body and smooth mouthfeel. Cream ales have somewhat more bitterness, sometimes more alcohol, and are often lightly fruity. |

Escondido, CA | A huge mix of tropical fruit, especially pineapple and sweet guava, along with lime zest and a hint of cilantro. Fruity smell, very hoppy, extreme hop after taste, it’s hazy as per style, this is a pallet killer so drink this after you have had more lighter beers. This is a new beer for Stone released March 1, 2021. Ella and citra hops. Never had Ella befor and I am not a fan of citra. Ella™ is the little sister of the Australian superstar Galaxy™. Note the Bottle I had appeared to have floaters so I carefully poured the beer as not to desturb the bottom and then poured the bottom in to a glass to let it settle. After carefule examination I determined that it was yeast. Yeast sediment has no real effect on the beer and is infact good for you. (Note I have notified the brewery.) Most likely this was a bottle from the last of the run. (Bottle with floaters)

The Highest Fives Blonde, Backfish Brewing | Pearland, TX | Clean smell, crisp clean smell, made from pilsner malt and a hint of spalt hops. This would be a good warm weather beer or session beer. |

Crispy Business, Real Ale Brewing | Blanco, TX | A very unique taste nit sure if I like it. Not a fan of the hops. German pilsner malt gives subtle malt sweetness, while Callista hops provide an enticing, modern hop aroma of apricot, peach and blackberry. Not a fan of apricot and not a fan of callista hops. This is a Helles which is a style not often done in the US. “Helles” means “pale in color,” as these beers are often golden. The German-style helles lager is a bit rounder or fuller-bodied than light lager and even all-malt pilsners. Helles lager beers offer a touch of sweetness that balance a measurable addition of spicy German hop flavor and light bitterness. This is a seasonal so if you want to tyr it now is the time. Worth trying. |

Road Trip Snacks, Panther Island Brewing | Fort Worth, TX | I had high hopes for this beer since it is made with Beaver Nuggets. Yes Beaver Nuggets from Buc-ee's. Smells like beaver nuggets but saddly the flavor is not beaver nuggets. All I could tase was surp. I found it way to sweet surp taste. This is a one and done for me. On a positive note I love the lable. |
