Texas Renaissance Festival

The Texas Renaissance Festival is the Nation’s largest, most acclaimed Renaissance theme park.  Open to the public every Saturday, Sunday, and Thanksgiving Friday, October 3rd through November 29th.  Additionally it is the home of Brigadoon Brewery & Brew School. Perhaps the only brewery opperating on the grounds of a Renaissance Festival brewing beer with period equipment and traditional methods and then serving it back to the public.

Our Beer

All of our brews are all grain, unfiltered and hand crafted. Many have been reverse engineered to meet period ingredients to the best of our ability.

Our biggest seller is our Black Plague Ale. Our patrons asked for a dark strong ale and we listened. This beer started with the usual experimental process being tested and refined. Lab results show it weighs in at 10.46 % ABV and 86 IBU. This one is a must have.

Beer Master General

Join our Brewmaster twice a on the Louie Belina Show on KZNE 1150 & 93.7FM or online.  If you missed a show or want to revist a past show simple go to our Beer
Master General page to view those and more.

Our Mission is to educate as many minds and palates as possible about the important role of beer in the development of civilization and the qualities and attributes of craft beer.

Brew King/QueenTitle

Beginning in 2013 The Texas Renaissance FestivalDeep South Barrels and Brigadoon Brewery have teamed up to conduct a contest to allow one lucky patron to be crowned The Brew King/Queen for the season. This tradition continues today. Patrons can submit possible names for the Märzen-Oktoberfest beer which will be tapped on opening weekend during Oktoberfest.  The top five names are selected by the brewery staff and then patrons are allowed to vote on the winner.  The beer name with the most votes is the winner and the patron who submitted the name is crowned The Brew King or Queen for the season.
